Lanesboro Local is creating a series of classes to promote member producers and their products in creative interesting ways.  Lanesboro Local is developing and marketing this series of exciting day classes with the goal to increase enjoyment and use of local resources. To do this, Lanesboro Local has formed a partnership with Buff Environmental Learning Center to expand the River Roots Skills School class offerings. Eagle Bluff is renowned for their gorgeous facilities and excellent organizational skills. Lanesboro Local is developing and marketing a series of exciting day classes to increase enjoyment and use of local resources. Amish Bread Baking
March 14

Ever wonder what it would be like to live without electricity and modern conveniences?

Learn how to bake bread in a wood stove and make butter in an Amish home in southeastern Minnesota.  You will take home a loaf of fresh baked break and witness how life without electricity is possible.

Class participants will gather at Eagle Bluff by 9 a.m. and travel via Eagle Bluff transportation to the Amish home.

After the bread is baked and the butter is made, everyone will gather together for a pot of tea, fresh baked bread and homemade butter.

Because of the limited number of participants allowed in each class, we will take a waiting list and possibly add an afternoon class beginning at 1:00pm if there are enough participants.
